Congratulations on becoming a member of the workplace safety group. You’re part of a really important team in our organization and I’m sure you’ll have an exciting couple of weeks as you undertake the training course. (15)

You’re going to meet a lot of new people from all different sections of the organization, and together its going to be up to you guys to make sure that our workplace continues to be safe and healthy. (15)

The first thing to remember is that you’re never alone. There is a comprehensive support infrastructure in place, to ensure that if you ever run into a problem you can’t solve, you’ll get the help you need. (15)

For instance, try dialing the extension 2582. This extension will work with any of our main building phone numbers, so if you need to, you can dial it from any phone.

Now this part is really simple. All you need to do is fill in your name at section A, put in your employee ID number at section B, and make sure you tick the correct box for the action you are engaging. (15)

Okay, I know this looks a little bit complicated, but don’t worry, you only need to fill out the relevant sections for your action – in most cases it’s only a few sections. (10)

The self-contained reverse force arm, or SCRFA, is connected to the CV lock, and you’ll find that it disengages in two ways. The first, Remote Mechanised Disengage, is, as the name implies, operated from the control room. The second, Manual Override / Maintenance Override, is performed at the mechanism itself. (30)

There are two bolts – the Upper Locking Bolt, and the Lower Mediating Bolt. These are referred to as the UL Bolt and LM Bolt, and their exact positioning is described in section 35A. (15)

The main thing to remember, is that they each use a different adjusting tool. The UL Bolt uses a standard spanner, metric size 15 mil. The LM Bolt needs the Bolt Adjustments Tool, which you’ll be familiar with from generator maintenance. (15)

Well, of course the other big news in HR is the departure of Helen Moore. Helen has been HR Manager for the last 12 years and is moving overseas with her husband Bruce. The pair were married last year, and they’re now moving to Bruce’s homeland of Canada. Best of luck to Helen, and also to acting HR Manager, Shelley Scott.

In our round-up of company news, support division got a huge rap from the CEO at the National Business Conference this month. Brian was, quote “extremely pleased, with the support division results for 3rd quarter.” So, congratulations guys. (15)

Some strange goings on have been reported at the Koala Canteen over the last few weeks. It seems some weird creatures have been infiltrating the mess hall and causing some disturbance… We took our camera there to have a look… (15)
