Let's take a closer look at what the weather is doing in your part of the country today...  Showers in Townsville, Mackay, Mt Isa, Longreach, Toowoomba and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.  Port Macquarie and Newcastle could get a shower as well, but dry inland with a very high fire danger west of the divide inside New South Wales.

Yes Robin, the streets are just deadly quiet here.  You can really feel the tension in the air.   I’m just two blocks away from the main compound, and I’m told that this is pretty much as close as anybody can get.  (15)

Okay Robin, I’ll report back as more information comes in.

12

Yes – as soon as anything happens, we’ll be back live to cover the action.

I’m here with Peter, who lives just across the road.  Peter, tell me, what did you see this morning?

14

That’s an amazing story from Peter, and believe me, he’s not the only one who saw these incredible events unfold.

15

Thanks Joe, we’ll let you get back to work.   That’s quite a story.
