6
This 28 track set focuses on Little Richard’s attempt to restart a stalled career by adopting more modern musical settings. Kind of… His pleading interpretation of Don Covay’s “I Don’t Know What You Got” is superb, but after that only a handful of slow, bluesly numbers, or simpler, guitar-led grooves support the soul singer premise.
7
When, in 1982 Duran Duran hopped about that Sri Lankan yacht in their pastel suits and told the views of newborn MTV that they’d seen this women Rio on the beach and on TV, a “moment” was created; the perfect synthesis between sound, vision and bollocks…

Manhattan, modeling agencies, and modish punk rock: let’s meet the world’s hippest band – the strokes.
16
I first met Rube at the Superpipe Snowboard Camp, where he was tearing apart the halfpipe every chance he got. Big airs and McTwists all the way down. His style’s sick, his huge airs resembling those of a vert skater. But going full bore everytime can take its toll, and you’ve got to wonder how his body keeps repairing itself…
17
Friday kicks off with the halfpipe semi-finals in the day, and the quarterpipe final in the evening. The pipe’s looking good and we expect to see Morisset and Carpenter battling it out. They’re going to hit the beast with vigor, so expect plenty of air, McTwists and flips.
18
Don’t forget the Head Over Heels contest. It’s your chance to get the insanely cool K2 BMX from Liquid, plus heaps of other prizes – check it out.

How accurate is the rock video-tastic flying armada of Japanese bombers that cruises over Hawaii? Who cares when they look this menacingly sexy? But how slushy is the four-way romance between Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Kate Beckinsale and good old Uncle Sam? Major cheese ahoy, but its still good fun in a brainless kind of way. 3 stars.

Arnie gets to play opposite himself thanks to a plot that finds the Austrian Oak being cloned by the usual sinister near-future “corporation.” Let’s check out a clip from The 6th Day that shows them both in action.

Imagine The Omen, minus the scary bits, and you’re left with a kind of horror fever dream that recalles the lamest Hammer Movies. Kim Basinger plays an ageing singleton whose mundane life is shattered by the arrival of her drug addicted sister who dumps her apparently retarded child and disappears.
21a
She returns on the arm of a supernaturally charming charity worker, and Basinger soon finds herself embroiled in a tug of love that inevitably, leads to a virginal sacrifice, heavenly effects and cheap special effects.
22
This is a surprisingly good two hander that pitches Morgan Freeman as a nit picking police officer, against Gene Hackman, as a respected South American dignitary implicated in a vicious child murder.
22a
Under Suspicion is an ungainly but pleasantly old fashioned thriller that rests on two superb performances from its leads. In the hands of Stephen Hopkins, there’s a restless, dark tension here that sticks in the mind long after the flashy editing has faded. Three stars.
