Damian will be taking workshops in `Experiments in Truth and Emotion' on
Thursday afternoons 2-6pm for 8 weeks please notify your interest &
availability... Damian will also be sharing some of the classes during the
evenings throughout the term 5 pending his filming schedule.
`Many times when reading scripts we are faced with BIG PRINT that requires emotion in a scene. "He/She cries uncontrollably" "She/he rages with anger". Obviously emotion is a common part of our living experience and particularly during conflict, which is at the heart of all drama. The 'Question' then, is "How do we access that EMOTION and yet still serve the TRUTH of the scene?" So often we are tempted to 'demonstrate' or 'push' to find the emotion and in the process compromise the truth.
